Day 2 :
Day 2 was all about sight-seeing in Sentosa, Science Center and some shopping in Bugis. I've become quite fond of MRTs. XD Though the Science Center was a major letdown. It was very huge...but they had too much of lengthy explanations with all the scientific lingo which i believe the younger kids wouldn't understand or even bother to read. I myself got bored of reading the words after 5 minutes or so. And there were no guides around to instruct us visitors on how to play the games and such...

The Merlion in Sentosa

Atop the Merlion

Green is the way to go
This thing i was on is the Sky Tower. It's sort of like the Space Shot in Genting(cept its way sloooower) combined with the revolving restaurant of City Bayview. We were supposed to see the beautiful view from i-dunno-how-many-meters above sea level and such but it just made me dizzy.

Bugis

Don't have any pictures to post of the Science Center...

Day 3 :
After traveling all the way to Singapore, might as well visit whatever they have to offer right? So off we went to....
Welcome/Huan Yin huan yin/Selamat Datang

Tiring climb
Everywhere also must walk walk walk.

Left or right? Komodo Dragons or warthogs? Decisions decisions...

THIS is the ultimate skill. Jas, try beating this. =P

After going to the zoo, we MRT-ed all the way to Vivo City then to Bugis again for more shopping. XD I love shopping in Singapore.
Err..nope, didn't visit any JCs or Unis. Only saw some as we passed on the MRT. XD wasn't lucky enough to see Denise either. =(

Day 4 :
Had breakfast in Bedok then headed home. You guys (Rebecca especially, since you're going there) should try the hawker food there. Not bad la...Though Penang food would win hands down. =)

This guy just can't sit still
Psst. Notice the red socks. XD

See what i mean??

Um..Senai International Airport is cacat. No offense to Johoreans, but it's even worse than Penang Airport. The airport only consists of a straight stretch of walkway on 2 levels. The departure hall only has 4 departure gates and this picture that you see is it.

And then, at the Penang Airport, i saw our dear Pn Soon! =) Think she was waiting for her children..but i didn't get to talk to her. We were separated by a glass window and there was a sudden influx of people outside the arrival hall. Only managed to wave.

Haha..A very berjodoh punya holiday eh?

Home Sweet Home

I'm baack!! =) I know you all missed me tremendously.

Day 1 :
Took an AirAsia flight to Senai, Johor. Was very lucky to bump into one of my 'mothers' on the same flight. *drum rolls* PN LEONG. O.O Yes, the very same Pn Leong that we are so fond of! *cough cough* Pn Leong and her son were sitting in the row directly in front of me (No, i didn't take a picture with her). She was headed towards Singapore too. Thankfully didn't bump into her anywhere in Singapore. XD

From Senai, we took a bus to the City Lounge in JB, then a taxi into Singapore.
Stayed at Pan Pacific Hotel. Quite convenient actually, as it was linked to all the shopping malls(Marina Square, Raffles City, City Link Mall) and the MRT station.

An ant's eye view of the hotel

First one of the many Christmas trees yet to come

Spent the day walking around the various malls then headed to Orchard Road at night. Mind you, the entire place was jam packed with people. At every nook and cranny, you see people by the dozens!

When you know you just simply can't afford the stuff, you spend time taking silly photos.

You understooded what i talking?
S-A-L-E!

Ballerina i am not

Neither am i a warrior

Ok lo, i don't look half as cute as the little girl who did it

Another Christmas tree

And another one

Peeeerrty lights

power to the NIKE s!

Robinsons got peeeerty lights too

That's all for day 1. =)

$ 210, 000

I'm actually going to say that i'm bored. Yes. B.O.R.E.D. I can't believe it's only been 2 weeks since SPM ended. Most of the pre-planned activities have already been accomplished. Which is why i'm bored now...Feel a sudden urge to go back to school. XD

Moving on. I stumbled across the 'Deal or No Deal' game minutes ago. I won $ 210,000. XD
What a pity it was just an online game...

Going to play more silly games. Toodles.

A Day To Remember.

Reasons Why Today Is A Day To Remember :
1. Today's the day that Denise leaves for Singapore and starts a new chapter of her life as an Asean scholar.
2. And today is also the day before the mua guek (one month anniversary) of my baby nephew. =)
3. Today is the day after prom.
4. Oh yes, today i bought red socks. XD

You're not the only one who sent Denise a last SMS, Jas. =P DENISE! WE MISS YOU! GOD BLESS AND TAKE CARE! FIND FLOYD! Everybody's going away. Either to a different college/school or to a different country or to NS. Life after Form 5 isn't that fun when you realise you don't get to see your friends every single day for 7+ hours anymore. Like Jas said, no more talking/playing instead of studying. No more copying of homework. No more fighting over seats.
AND, no more running away from ed board! Don't think anybody will miss that though.. XD

We've been going to school every year without fail for so long, we've been seeing the same faces that we've grown accustomed to..Now that we have our great big circle of friends, it's rather awkward to start the making new friends thing again, you know?

Karyn: Hi, I'm Karyn.

New friend: Hi. I'm [insert name]

Karyn: Nice to meet you.

New friend: Nice to meet you too.

...silence...

It might very well go like the one above...

Prom. Overall ok la..Our table was one of the noisiest. Haha. Yench was high on water and 99% diluted orange juice. Boon Kit finished his mushy and soggy apple crumble with gusto. Aimy and i were half stim towards the end. Almost all the girls there have great lung capacity which can amazingly fit into their small frames. Refer to Aimy/ Yench for more details. =)

My nephew is turning one...month old tomorrow!! He's cute to the nth power! Nah, go see Ryan's blog.

Um..I bought red socks.
What?
I like socks.
XD
Yes, i like socks that are cheap. Socks prevent stinky sports shoe-bound feet.
No, i don't do heels.

And, on a side note, my family did laugh at my silliness with the three-point-turn. =P

PS-Family bought Ryan lotsa new clothes too!

Laughing Stock.

Imagine this scene...

You've waited practically the whole morning just to get your name called. Close to 11, your name was called. Finally. While waiting in line to get into the car, some fella instructed his students to jump the queue. His reason was that the queue goes in a different direction as to what you have been following. Hence, his students should go first. You and 2 other exam takers who have been waiting patiently tried to explain that you were doing exactly how others queued up. But the fella insisted that he was right bla bla bla...
Ok, so you decided to forget it and forgive the guy anyway.

That wasn't the main part of the story. Please continue with the imagination.

After an eternity 15 minutes or so, you got to do the test. You managed to drive up and down the bukit albeit a bit jerkishly. Then you proceeded to the side parking test, which you nailed. As you drive into the three-point-turn area, you thought to yourself so far so good. Next, you reversed the car and began to ease out of the area. Then, the evitable happened...You heard a sickening clang of metal on cement. Too late. You realised that it was game over. You've hit the front pole while doing a three-point-turn.

Yes, that was me. I know you're laughing. Go ahead. [insert peals of laughter/loud guffaws]

The instructor already laughed at me saying that only 70/80 year old grannies fail while doing a three-point-turn. And i'm his first student who failed that part (there's a first for everything, yes? XD). I know it's crazy to have failed at the easiest part. Yeah, i reversed too little, hence the banging of the pole while exiting. Was pretty disappointed at first but hey, not all things happen according to your wishes ma...Nevertheless, i excited with a clang! People notice! XD

On a brighter side, i passed everything else including the jalan raya (i got a good, cheery tester for the jalan raya like i hoped for. THANK YOU for intervening!). XD Only thing i have to do now is to renew my L license and redo the 3 things again. Bukit, parking and three-point-turn. So, i'm not incapable of driving...just slightly silly? Hhaha.

Heh. My dad was in shock. Then he yelled..saying that i should have prayed to the gods before going in the morning like he said to. -.-' Some other people just opted for the normal laughing. I can almost visualize my sister/brother in law/mum/three of them laughing at me. I hope i don't have nightmares of three-point-turns. Hahaha.

Oh well, all in a day's work! XD

Hair?

Cut and permed my hair & got temporary contacts. I shall show you guys but no one better laugh or point. Well, you could do that secretly. XD

Me with styled hair. Carrying baby nephew. =) I know you're jealous. XD

Events

Registered self into Disted yesterday. Will go for A Levels, Jan '08 intake which starts on the 2nd of Jan. 2nd!! *sigh* that's even earlier than all the normal school going people..This slightly whacked person will attempt to take 5 subjects. General Paper, Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. Mum suggested i take Further Maths as an extra challenge..I hope i can cope.

Later in the evening, went to Jas, Irene and Rebecca's combined birthday bash. Was fun. =) sadly, nobody tried pushing people into the pool. Though lynn and aimy got splattered...Some got a bit drunk. XD And it was the last time for us to "hang" with Denise-the Asean scholar. She's leaving us for good on 15th..*sob* *sniff*

You better start packing, Denise!!! XD

Going back to school.

To all my fellow form 5 schoolmates who are still wondering, fear not! For i am here. XD According to my source(haha...thanks denise),

We is going back to school on 5th to un-chair the hall. Be there by 9am. Let me repeat that..
Be in school by 9 am.
On the 5th of dec, which is this wednesday.

See you guys there (i hope)! =)

Another day free from studying.

Feels so good to wake up at 10++ everyday without worries. =)
Went to watch Enchanted with mummy yesterday. Was a nice, feel-good movie where people always live happily ever after. Yes yes, girls like to watch this kinda stuff. XD just about the same as guys enjoy gaming...Though not to that extent. (to all gaming friends out there, no insult meant ok? =D) Later, went all the way to Bayview Hotel in Batu Feringghi for the Penang Jazz Festival. Enjoyed the music though the price of the food leaves much to be desired for. Typical hotel pricing...Anyway, i liked the quartet called Idea of North.

This is them.

And i liked the Anke Helfrich Trio too.

Anke Helfrich Trio from Germany.

Paul Ponnudorai.

I think this isn't and updated photo. Eheh.

There are more but i'm too lazy to post photos. Met some school people..none that i know really well, unfortunately. Sat next to Sharon (Pn Leong's favourite student) and Mae Yun. Saw Avienne and her dad a few places away and Ithrana was somewhere behind too. =) Oh yes, in case you wanted to know(which i don't think you do but i'm letting you know anyway XD), you pay RM50 to sit on the grass. =P Unless you brought chairs or mats or whatever..

On another note, what time is everybody going for de-chairing on the 5th? Wait, is anyone even going?
