Year Year Got Fish!

As all Chinese families do on the first day of new year, my family went up to Relau for the usual gathering. Made a pit stop at uncle's house before we car pooled to Relau. =) Arrived at the aforementioned destination. Stepped out of bro-in-law's car. Turned around. Noticed a familiar car zooming past...
It was Pn Annie's car. With her family inside.

O.O

Terkejutnya aku. No, i did not wave. Don't think she noticed anyway.
Talk about timing. HAHA..Who would've known that my relatives and her relatives stay at the same place. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Anyway, proceeded upstairs for the gathering, some makan and the ang pau receiving. Wheeeee! Had fun playing with baby Ryan and baby cousin. Watched some tv. Made noise and stuff.
As usual, getherings are never complete without pictures. =)

Cuzzins!
The one in the centre is our youngest cousin. =)

I call this the Shake Shake Fries Phone

Pretty pretty cuzin (nope, not taken. yet)

Aww.

Yee Sang

We are FAMILY

Not many photos available due to confidentiality and also camera battery's exhaustion.
BUT, there is still

This

And this

And this.

The last two were taken in me house, later at night. Have always been a tradition with mummy to take photos in new clothes during CNY. HAHAHAHAHAHA. I know i'm pretty. XD
Notice the lanterns and deco stuff. Mummy makes them. Will show more pictures when there are closer shots of the deco.
(Kiran & Sneha, if you two happen to read this, Yellow is NOT my new favourite colour ok?? It's just coincidental that i have yellow stuff and furniture)

I is happy. =)

Got homework as usual.
BUT. They're good for us!
Tutorials are kinda like veggies..in a way. Nobody likes eating veggies but we eat it (or are forced to) because it is good for our health.
So you see, we do tutorials (which we do not like) because it's gonna help us score those As that we want in our exams.
Then we won't fall into any pits and traps that the examiner digs for us.

Mr Chuah would be so proud of me!
XD Getting influenced by the 15-30 minute motivational and inspiring speeches he gives during Maths & Mechanics classes. HAHAHAHAHAH.

Today, i found out that Adelene knows the daughter of Mary Schneider. She's the lady who writes the sarcastic yet funny Monday columns in TheStar called 'But Then Again'. Go read if you happen to come across it next week. =) =) Adelene sure knows a lot of people.

Also, there was the thing-that-makes-you-go-eeeeewwwwwwwww incident during chemistry lecture. Which is kind of a good thing cause it kept me, kiran and sneha awake. We usually get bored within the first 10 minutes and start zoning of...Anyway, sneha had some creepy crawly thing in one of her high heels. Yes, IN. Not on top of it...but in it. The part where you put your feet(where your big toe and second toe grips). Don't ask me how it got there. It just did.
It was greyish(coloured kinda like snails are), had sucker-like things for legs, long-ish but soft flaccid body.
For a fella possibly 100 times smaller than we are, the Thing was really strong. It refused to budge from it's position in Sneha's heels when i prodded, poked and flicked (with NanoNano sweet wrappers). Whenever i prodded, it only made the thing hold on tighter to Sneha's heels. Though after much prodding and flicking, it finally crawled onto the floor...where it proceeded to die. I think. It was limp and unmoving when a guy scooped it up with a Rocky packet.
Too bad we don't have cameras to take a photo of it.
I am going to walk carefully on Disted grounds from now on.
If you happen to sit on the bench near the staircase on level 3, do be EXTRA EXTRA careful(we suspect that was where it originated from).
Or you could just take the lift...=D

And now i'm happy! =) *jumps around madly*
Lalalalalalalala.

A petition

We, the concerned youths of Malaysia express appalled anger towards the Slim River Bus Crash incident that claimed the life of Lee Nian Ning, Mohd. Zailani and Pang Boon Eng on the 25th of January 2008. This is not the first time that such an incident has occurred. Despite numerous complaints and public uproar in the past, incidents like this continue to occur. It was reported that the driver’s company had 13 summonses on that bus itself. We find it unacceptable that such a company could have operated that vehicle on the road.

What are the explanations?

Hundreds of thousands of university students just like Nian Ning and us rely on such public transport to travel back home. A human life should not be taken lightly.

How could a vehicle with 13 summonses be free on the roads and not be held by the authorities?

We, the following, hereby demand that the relevant authorities set up a committee consisting of road safety experts and representatives from relevant public bodies to conduct a thorough study to find effective solutions to ensure that mistakes like this do not occur again in the future.

We will not be quiet until we see it in the media that satisfactory measures have been taken.

To sign the petition,

please click here

and submit your FULL NAME(as in IC. Please don't use your nicknames or initials.) and e-mail. It will be considered one e-signature upon completion.

Alternatively, please send your FULL NAME and IC NUMBER to buscrashnomore@gmail.com.

Please do not leave initials or nicknames, only full name is accepted.

We thank you for your co-operation. Let us pray for those who have died to make way for change and keep our fingers crossed that someone, anyone will hear us and enforce that change.

Please put this in forums, bulletins, emails, blogs.....everywhere. We need all the support we can get.

PLEASE DO IT. All it takes is a few clicks.

Shock

IPOH: The driver of a double-decker express bus that saw three of its passengers killed in a crash near Slim River on Friday had 13 outstanding police summonses issued against him.

Records in www.myeg.com.my revealed that Ruslim Isa, 43, who was sent to the Teluk Intan Hospital for a broken right leg after the 5.55pm accident, had seven summonses issued against him for speeding, five for illegal overtaking and one for not using an overhead bridge.

The summonses, amounting to RM2,660, dated as far back as 2000.

The accident occurred at KM382 of the highway between Slim River and Behrang during a downpour.

Slim River deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Adzhar Othman said that blood samples taken from Ruslim would be sent to the Chemistry Department, while the remains of the bus would also be sent to Puspakom for analysis on Monday.

"At this point, we cannot yet ascertain the cause of the accident, whether or not it is due to human or technical error.

"Investigations are still ongoing," he said.

The crash, which had initially killed two passengers - Mohd Zailani Mustafa, 23, of Sungai Nibong, Bayan Lepas, Penang, and Lee Nian Ning, 21, of Taman Gelugor, Penang - claimed its third victim on Saturday.

The news came so suddenly that i found it really hard to believe. Nian Ning, the pretty, young, talented and well respected senior of MGS passed away yesterday just like that. Though i might not have known her well, hearing that someone so young and capable is no longer here still shakes me to the core. I've always thought that she would become really successful in the future but i've never expected this to happen. It really goes to show that no one, absolutely no human on earth knows what the future holds.
I cannot bear to imagine what her close friends and family are feeling right now...
Eventhough you may not be here anymore but you will always be remembered by us juniors of MGS. Rest in peace, Nian Ning.

Heath Ledger.
Nian Ning.
Who next??
...You have this perception that you're still young and you have plenty of time to fool around, party and enjoy life. Death, to you is like such a distant thing. All you care about now is your earthly possessions, upcoming parties, love interests, social cliques, wealth, exams, ambitions....and everything else under the sun. You worry and worry about the future, plan and plan about becoming rich & successful, study hard and play harder....You're just contented living in what you think is a good and complete life but,

Is your life really complete?

Who knows if your life will be taken from you this very instant? Or the next hour? Or tomorrow??

Have YOU given the slightest thought about death? About what happens after dying?

Most importantly, Are YOU ready?

(the 'you' mentioned above is a general term, not aimed at anyone who reads this)

-----------------------------------

The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. He thought to himself, "What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops."

Then he said, "This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.

And I'll say to myself,"You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry."

But God said to him, "You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?"

Procrastination

Here i am halfway through the moral essay which i conveniently forgot about until a few hours ago and im' STILL not done...I'm sleepy, i have not done the last further maths qusetion, i'm tired and i can't type coherently. I'm depending on you to show me the errors, red dotted lines!

...4 more pantang larangs to go.

Going to college costs so much. *sigh* Money money money. The thought of how much my parents are paying for me really drives me to want to do well. Who am i kidding, of course i want to do well! Just thinking of WHEN i can actually study. Can't seem to find time at the momeent. Also, the thought of everything that they do or rather, sacrifice for me makes me want to pay them back in so many many ways.

No further maths, no moral, no GP, no Chem tutorial on Wednesday! WHEEEEEEEE! Best of all, no waking up at 6.45!
LALALALALA.

[insert title]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AIMY!!!
[insert birthday song 5 Science 1 style]
You're getting older..=P
Have a wonderful birthday. =)

I guess there are many MANY people out there like us, the 'same species' like Krystal so aptly put it. We have the passion, the fire and the desire burning within to fulfill our purpose in life as the youth of today yet we have circumstances. Challenges. Roadblocks.
Though i believe we'll emerge victorious for we have help. Nothing is impossible. All things will come together. =) One day, we'll be free to shout it out to the world.

Never are we free from homework. *sigh*
Mechanics, Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Physics. Speaking of FUrther Maths, I need help again.
I don't feel like squeezing my brain. Niresh, where you? How to sketch the r^2 curves?

Huh..today's Open Day at NS camps. Oh well.

!!!!
Forgot about Moral essay!
10 pantang larangs and the rasional di sebaliknya. Bla bla..
*sigh*
I'll do that sometime later...much later...
Blogger is acting funny with the font size in this part. Silly thing.
I COMMAND YOU TO RETURN TO NORMAL.

*whacks computer*

Nope. Still no change.
