Rendezvous

On this very fine Awal Muharram day, 20 girls met up at Salsas Restaurant for lunch. T'was another Class of 2007 gathering (albeit on a smaller scale) like the one we had earlier this year. Don't you ever wonder if guys do this whole meeting-up-on-a-large-scale thing? =P

And so, the very pretty Jas was my driver of the day. No worries people, no human beings were harmed on the way there.

Once there, we proceeded to wait for the rest...With chatter going on at full speed of course. And then out came cameras aplenty.

The Fantastic 4 minus one. Somehow the group never seems to be complete. Last time round, it was Jas and now we're missing Denise. Maybe that's the reason for Aimy's long face..or maybe she's upset that she got pulled into a photo. Haha.

Lookie! I got an 'F'! F for spagethi. =D
I must say, Salsas was very organized. They gave us little little cards (like the one above) which represented the different main courses we were having. No confusion. =)

Pumpkin soup with some herb for garnish. Some pungent herb it was. Blehh. Though my unrefined tastebuds cannot identify what it was. =P

My seafood spaghetti in tomato based sauce.

Irene's pan seared salmon. Nice.

Aimy's spaghetti carbonara.

Jas's grilled chicken with asparagus.

More asparagus! How coincidental that there was wacky conversation with some friends about asparagus yesterday and today i tried it...and i didn't like it.

Pat chose the dory fish. Notice the small orange-y blobs on the far end of the plate. We couldn't tell what it was. Looked like fish roe but tasted funny. Heheh.

And this is dessert! Vanilla ice-cream, pudding and cake.

Then it was off to New World Park to continue with our sembang-ing. Of course we couldn't hole up at Salsas the whole afternoon considering the amount of sound MGS girls make and how peeved the manager was. Hahaha.

A must-have family photo of us kids and 'mummy'. AHAHAHAHA.

We spent a good five hours in total today. =) Meeting up is always so much better than just reading blogs or having virtual conversations. It just doesn't feel that real.
I guess the next time we all come together again will be a few years down the road since more people are leaving this tiny island next year.

Edit: Go here to read a nicer version of the gathering. =) Jas tells it much much nicer..and she mentioned things i wanted to say but didn't know how. Flair for words. Go figure.
