Day 2 :
Day 2 was all about sight-seeing in Sentosa, Science Center and some shopping in Bugis. I've become quite fond of MRTs. XD Though the Science Center was a major letdown. It was very huge...but they had too much of lengthy explanations with all the scientific lingo which i believe the younger kids wouldn't understand or even bother to read. I myself got bored of reading the words after 5 minutes or so. And there were no guides around to instruct us visitors on how to play the games and such...

The Merlion in Sentosa

Atop the Merlion

Green is the way to go
This thing i was on is the Sky Tower. It's sort of like the Space Shot in Genting(cept its way sloooower) combined with the revolving restaurant of City Bayview. We were supposed to see the beautiful view from i-dunno-how-many-meters above sea level and such but it just made me dizzy.

Power to the NIKE s version 2

Inside the 4D movie theater

Meet Oscar and his green wannabe friends

Bugis

Don't have any pictures to post of the Science Center...

Day 3 :
After traveling all the way to Singapore, might as well visit whatever they have to offer right? So off we went to....
Welcome/Huan Yin huan yin/Selamat Datang

Tiring climb
Everywhere also must walk walk walk.

Left or right? Komodo Dragons or warthogs? Decisions decisions...

THIS is the ultimate skill. Jas, try beating this. =P

After going to the zoo, we MRT-ed all the way to Vivo City then to Bugis again for more shopping. XD I love shopping in Singapore.
Err..nope, didn't visit any JCs or Unis. Only saw some as we passed on the MRT. XD wasn't lucky enough to see Denise either. =(

Day 4 :
Had breakfast in Bedok then headed home. You guys (Rebecca especially, since you're going there) should try the hawker food there. Not bad la...Though Penang food would win hands down. =)

This guy just can't sit still
Psst. Notice the red socks. XD

See what i mean??

Um..Senai International Airport is cacat. No offense to Johoreans, but it's even worse than Penang Airport. The airport only consists of a straight stretch of walkway on 2 levels. The departure hall only has 4 departure gates and this picture that you see is it.

And then, at the Penang Airport, i saw our dear Pn Soon! =) Think she was waiting for her children..but i didn't get to talk to her. We were separated by a glass window and there was a sudden influx of people outside the arrival hall. Only managed to wave.

Haha..A very berjodoh punya holiday eh?

Home Sweet Home

I'm baack!! =) I know you all missed me tremendously.

Day 1 :
Took an AirAsia flight to Senai, Johor. Was very lucky to bump into one of my 'mothers' on the same flight. *drum rolls* PN LEONG. O.O Yes, the very same Pn Leong that we are so fond of! *cough cough* Pn Leong and her son were sitting in the row directly in front of me (No, i didn't take a picture with her). She was headed towards Singapore too. Thankfully didn't bump into her anywhere in Singapore. XD

From Senai, we took a bus to the City Lounge in JB, then a taxi into Singapore.
Stayed at Pan Pacific Hotel. Quite convenient actually, as it was linked to all the shopping malls(Marina Square, Raffles City, City Link Mall) and the MRT station.

An ant's eye view of the hotel

First one of the many Christmas trees yet to come

Spent the day walking around the various malls then headed to Orchard Road at night. Mind you, the entire place was jam packed with people. At every nook and cranny, you see people by the dozens!

When you know you just simply can't afford the stuff, you spend time taking silly photos.

You understooded what i talking?
S-A-L-E!

Ballerina i am not

Neither am i a warrior

Ok lo, i don't look half as cute as the little girl who did it

Another Christmas tree

And another one

Peeeerrty lights

power to the NIKE s!

Robinsons got peeeerty lights too

That's all for day 1. =)

$ 210, 000

I'm actually going to say that i'm bored. Yes. B.O.R.E.D. I can't believe it's only been 2 weeks since SPM ended. Most of the pre-planned activities have already been accomplished. Which is why i'm bored now...Feel a sudden urge to go back to school. XD

Moving on. I stumbled across the 'Deal or No Deal' game minutes ago. I won $ 210,000. XD
What a pity it was just an online game...

Going to play more silly games. Toodles.

A Day To Remember.

Reasons Why Today Is A Day To Remember :
1. Today's the day that Denise leaves for Singapore and starts a new chapter of her life as an Asean scholar.
2. And today is also the day before the mua guek (one month anniversary) of my baby nephew. =)
3. Today is the day after prom.
4. Oh yes, today i bought red socks. XD

You're not the only one who sent Denise a last SMS, Jas. =P DENISE! WE MISS YOU! GOD BLESS AND TAKE CARE! FIND FLOYD! Everybody's going away. Either to a different college/school or to a different country or to NS. Life after Form 5 isn't that fun when you realise you don't get to see your friends every single day for 7+ hours anymore. Like Jas said, no more talking/playing instead of studying. No more copying of homework. No more fighting over seats.
AND, no more running away from ed board! Don't think anybody will miss that though.. XD

We've been going to school every year without fail for so long, we've been seeing the same faces that we've grown accustomed to..Now that we have our great big circle of friends, it's rather awkward to start the making new friends thing again, you know?

Karyn: Hi, I'm Karyn.

New friend: Hi. I'm [insert name]

Karyn: Nice to meet you.

New friend: Nice to meet you too.

...silence...

It might very well go like the one above...

Prom. Overall ok la..Our table was one of the noisiest. Haha. Yench was high on water and 99% diluted orange juice. Boon Kit finished his mushy and soggy apple crumble with gusto. Aimy and i were half stim towards the end. Almost all the girls there have great lung capacity which can amazingly fit into their small frames. Refer to Aimy/ Yench for more details. =)

My nephew is turning one...month old tomorrow!! He's cute to the nth power! Nah, go see Ryan's blog.

Um..I bought red socks.
What?
I like socks.
XD
Yes, i like socks that are cheap. Socks prevent stinky sports shoe-bound feet.
No, i don't do heels.

And, on a side note, my family did laugh at my silliness with the three-point-turn. =P

PS-Family bought Ryan lotsa new clothes too!

Laughing Stock.

Imagine this scene...

You've waited practically the whole morning just to get your name called. Close to 11, your name was called. Finally. While waiting in line to get into the car, some fella instructed his students to jump the queue. His reason was that the queue goes in a different direction as to what you have been following. Hence, his students should go first. You and 2 other exam takers who have been waiting patiently tried to explain that you were doing exactly how others queued up. But the fella insisted that he was right bla bla bla...
Ok, so you decided to forget it and forgive the guy anyway.

That wasn't the main part of the story. Please continue with the imagination.

After an eternity 15 minutes or so, you got to do the test. You managed to drive up and down the bukit albeit a bit jerkishly. Then you proceeded to the side parking test, which you nailed. As you drive into the three-point-turn area, you thought to yourself so far so good. Next, you reversed the car and began to ease out of the area. Then, the evitable happened...You heard a sickening clang of metal on cement. Too late. You realised that it was game over. You've hit the front pole while doing a three-point-turn.

Yes, that was me. I know you're laughing. Go ahead. [insert peals of laughter/loud guffaws]

The instructor already laughed at me saying that only 70/80 year old grannies fail while doing a three-point-turn. And i'm his first student who failed that part (there's a first for everything, yes? XD). I know it's crazy to have failed at the easiest part. Yeah, i reversed too little, hence the banging of the pole while exiting. Was pretty disappointed at first but hey, not all things happen according to your wishes ma...Nevertheless, i excited with a clang! People notice! XD

On a brighter side, i passed everything else including the jalan raya (i got a good, cheery tester for the jalan raya like i hoped for. THANK YOU for intervening!). XD Only thing i have to do now is to renew my L license and redo the 3 things again. Bukit, parking and three-point-turn. So, i'm not incapable of driving...just slightly silly? Hhaha.

Heh. My dad was in shock. Then he yelled..saying that i should have prayed to the gods before going in the morning like he said to. -.-' Some other people just opted for the normal laughing. I can almost visualize my sister/brother in law/mum/three of them laughing at me. I hope i don't have nightmares of three-point-turns. Hahaha.

Oh well, all in a day's work! XD

Hair?

Cut and permed my hair & got temporary contacts. I shall show you guys but no one better laugh or point. Well, you could do that secretly. XD

Me with styled hair. Carrying baby nephew. =) I know you're jealous. XD

Events

Registered self into Disted yesterday. Will go for A Levels, Jan '08 intake which starts on the 2nd of Jan. 2nd!! *sigh* that's even earlier than all the normal school going people..This slightly whacked person will attempt to take 5 subjects. General Paper, Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. Mum suggested i take Further Maths as an extra challenge..I hope i can cope.

Later in the evening, went to Jas, Irene and Rebecca's combined birthday bash. Was fun. =) sadly, nobody tried pushing people into the pool. Though lynn and aimy got splattered...Some got a bit drunk. XD And it was the last time for us to "hang" with Denise-the Asean scholar. She's leaving us for good on 15th..*sob* *sniff*

You better start packing, Denise!!! XD

Going back to school.

To all my fellow form 5 schoolmates who are still wondering, fear not! For i am here. XD According to my source(haha...thanks denise),

We is going back to school on 5th to un-chair the hall. Be there by 9am. Let me repeat that..
Be in school by 9 am.
On the 5th of dec, which is this wednesday.

See you guys there (i hope)! =)

Another day free from studying.

Feels so good to wake up at 10++ everyday without worries. =)
Went to watch Enchanted with mummy yesterday. Was a nice, feel-good movie where people always live happily ever after. Yes yes, girls like to watch this kinda stuff. XD just about the same as guys enjoy gaming...Though not to that extent. (to all gaming friends out there, no insult meant ok? =D) Later, went all the way to Bayview Hotel in Batu Feringghi for the Penang Jazz Festival. Enjoyed the music though the price of the food leaves much to be desired for. Typical hotel pricing...Anyway, i liked the quartet called Idea of North.

This is them.

And i liked the Anke Helfrich Trio too.

Anke Helfrich Trio from Germany.

Paul Ponnudorai.

I think this isn't and updated photo. Eheh.

There are more but i'm too lazy to post photos. Met some school people..none that i know really well, unfortunately. Sat next to Sharon (Pn Leong's favourite student) and Mae Yun. Saw Avienne and her dad a few places away and Ithrana was somewhere behind too. =) Oh yes, in case you wanted to know(which i don't think you do but i'm letting you know anyway XD), you pay RM50 to sit on the grass. =P Unless you brought chairs or mats or whatever..

On another note, what time is everybody going for de-chairing on the 5th? Wait, is anyone even going?

SPM IS FINALLY OVER!!!

SPM IS OVER!!!!
FINITO. FINE. END. TAMAT. NO MORE.

=) =) =) =) =)
Had a nice day today. Went out with fellow foodies for movie supposedly. Us 3 foodies eat until forgot to go buy tickets first. XD XD hahaha..Ended up without watching movie with the rest of them. Though it was fun to just walk around enjoying the camaraderie after so many torturous months.
Will miss my school friends so much!

PS-We Know What You Did On The Last Day Of SPM *coughmelcough* =P

SPM Mania

I'm a Porsche 911!

You have a classic style, but you're up-to-date with the latest technology. You're ambitious, competitive, and you love to win. Performance, precision, and prestige - you're one of the elite, and you know it.

Take the Which Sports Car Are You? quiz.

Heh. Apparently I'm a Porsche. Why can't i be a Ferrari? Why why? Agree on being competitive(read: kiasu-ism) and loves to win. Not so about being up-to-date with technology. Ah yes, i KNOW i'm one of the elite.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
I can just about imagine Ames saying "nonsense". XD
SPM does things to people. Seriously.
Right now there's 80% less facts (read:junk) in my head. 20% left to purge from brain. More space for all things non-academic! Wheeee!
Seriously, the exam-oriented education system is turning us all into super duper memorizing machines who can do nothing other than purge out information we have successfully/unsuccessfully crammed into our cranial spaces. Just take a look at this year's SPM exam papers. Sejarah, Pendidikan Moral, BM. Even chemistry and physics. I went into the hall expecting to terrorize the calculator and yet about 90% of the questions are all based on memory work.

Still, the best part was the major mistakes in the Chemistry paper. Not minor mistakes, mind you. Mistakes that causes practically the whole question to not make sense. Not do-able. There is no such element with 22 protons and one electron!! YOU tell me where it is in the Periodic Table. And insoluble salts cannot i repeat, CANNOT recrystallize! Somebody sure didn't check the papers properly. And then there were also the minor mistake in maths paper 1 and i believe, a typo in moral too.
Oh yes, and people say there was a leak in the Add Math paper.
Blah.

Now go waste some time by taking the sports car quiz!

Trials and tribulations of SPM

I'M BORED. GRRRRRR. Really bored.......Sick and tired of studying and spm's not even half over.
Pffttt.
On a happier note, will be going to Singapore in december. Wheeee! =)

Memories of 07

I've been wanting to do this for a long while...Just that sleeping won over typing a post. XD sorry lo..

To the people who enriched my life:

Jasryn-Sarcasm Queen. Hamster face. Cartoon excerpts partner. Seating partner. Friend.
My first friend in standard 1. Though i can't even remember the bench we sat on or the long long walk to 1M or even how we met each other. Haha...I only know cause you told me. XD My apologies for the random memory loss. Who knew we could progress from not-so-close friends to being so close and being part of th 'Fantastic 4'. Haha. Throughout the 4 years we've sat with eac other, you ALWAYS ALWAYS get the seat nearer to the fan. I've always mentioned that i would come earlier to get it from you...and i promtly forgot when i came to school this year. Heh. We have loads of memories together la! How to mention all? Ok, more to the point : Thanks for being a good friend, for listening, for offering advice, for all the silly jokes and for the food escapades. Oh and, the lower secondary years filled with your sarcasm. Which has pretty much mellowed out now. Either that or we've all jsut gotten used to it.

Denise- ASEAN scholar. Smarty-skirt. Kindy friend. Bak bak Wong.
Well, well, well...We've been friends for + - 14 years! I can still remember the times in kindy...we were the smartest people for maths. XD. And we had to teach the two Raymonds. And i have concert pcitures of us both! Hahahaha. Not sure if you can remember...Somehow or other, we just lost touch in primary cause you were in a different class. But we did the butterfly dance, remember?Aimy was tehre too. Jas was MIA. HAHAHAH. Sory Jas. Then we've been friends since upper primary up till now, in form 5. Denise is the one who i find i'm most similar too. We have same wavelengths. =) we study almost the same, we like all sorts of food, we both like Alan Wu and Ron Ng and we like Kimi too! -.-" Thanks for all your help with whatever i don't understand in class/tution. Always the smarty-skirt. and i mean that in a good way. =) Thanks for always allowing me to stop you from studying and start you on talking. And thanks for offering your non-biased advise cause obviously, the 3 of us have our slightly leaning to one side punya pandangan. Heh.

Aimy-Sticker war partner. Fellow IUC and FA Comp. participant. Meticulous checker for REVIEW 2007. Provider of stories. Late night sms buddy.
We've been through a lot. From the time in std 4 where you had the sailormoon spectacles box which i used to play with XD, the time in std 5 where we had so much fun sticking stickers on Syahidah and Jas's tables to the years in secondary school with sleep overs, ed board, rc, prefects board, your interesting stories and your ever developing hair style. =) Oh oh, your stickers evoveld throughtout the years too. From white, plain stickers(ammunition) during the Sticker War era to cute, kawaii, press-able ones. Yeah, and your japanese speaking moments. Haha. And your theory of Add Oil and Eat Books then Vomit Out During Exams. XD So, thanks for everything, thanks for sticking up with me when im' being nuts & thanks for being part of the Fantastic 4 that we are.

Ee Lynn- Master of cooking phone porridge. Lover of animals. Creative & talented. The friend who can cook & will most probably survive on her own. Girl with multiple names.
Will remember the long long hours we used to bergayut on the telephone. Talking about nonsense. And the later years in primary when i got to know you and Him better. I seriously lost count on the times i go over to your house. I've been tehre so many times! =) Am still going to your house. Probably after spm to visit DON! Wheeee. And you la, of course. XD The time in your house where we had salted chicken with ann ting. I miss that so much. And the fact that almost all our other frineds are scared of Cutey. Hehe. i'll forever remember your most used phrase in lower secondary : "I hate boys!!! Ewwww. I'll die a spinster with (insert some certain number of cats)" And look what happened. XD Oh oh, you used to have multiple names too. Remember coconana? Or...cappucino or mrs simtantanchee. Hahah. Ah well, those were the days..Thanks for all the wonderful memories and crazy stuff that we did together.
EG: Friendster testimonials. It certainly wouldn't be half as fun without you. Certainly enjoy every morning this year when you'd come over to our class and talk about random stuff & make us all laugh like nuts. You have a very canggih sense of humour and stlye of laughing. =) though sometimes we can't get it...Eg: the Ichichi, Ichacha, Ichuchu thing. XD

Ok ok, getting too long and boring. will continue with others the next time i blog.
Happy studying, people!

Difussion 101

*smacks face onto book*

*waits for a few minutes*

*smacks harder from a different direction*

C' MMONN!!!!!
WORK!!!

Pfft..

How I wish studying for SPM would be as easy as oxygen molecules diffusing into the blood capilaries from the alveoli. Or how oxygen diffuses across the plasma membrane of an amoeba. Or...how bromine gas diffuses into the space within air molecules in a gas jar. Or how gamma rays can diffuse/penetrate across skin and aluminium...

The Diffusion Theory:-
1. Brain : super uber diluted (read: empty)
Books : extreme saturation
2. Therefore, a concentration exists
3. Following the rule of diffusion, information molecules should diffuse from region of higher concentration to region of lower concentration
4. It works with laughter & non-academic related nonsense, so it should work with books. SHOULD.

But then again...

Reasons Why Diffusion Theory Can't Work:-
1. Our brain cells are tooooooo far away from the source of information
2. The time it takes for information to diffuse from the books into our cells take too long to complete
3. Hence, it cannot reach the brain in time
4. Either that or our cells are just not highly permeable to the whole pile of junk. Whoops. Meant information.

Haih.

This might be the last post in an even longer while, considering how rarely i update...At least until the first week of torture is over. So, all the best to fellow SPM takers, take care & God bless! Remember to eat, shit and sleep too! Don't just eat books, shit books or dream of books.

-.-" Don't quite know what that was all about..

ps- remember Hulagu Khan. Grandson of Genghis Khan. XD

13

13 Days. 13!!!!! It's in less than 2 weeks time! By this Saturday, it'll be down to single digit numbers. Next monday will be chairing...which means it's the final 7 days before. Then the next thing will be IT. ESS PEE AMM. I feel unprepared. VERY. VERY.

Goal for the week : finish re-studying syllabus.
Objective : To be prepared for SPM.

Time seems to be going faster than usual. And SPM takers seem to be crazier than usual.
A proven hypothesis : The closer we get to SPM, the crazier we all become.
Just this morning, Jas and i were singing nursery rhymes and kindy songs. The smarty skirt who got 1st in class forgot all her nursery rhymes and songs. Even Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. =P Tsk tsk.

On the other hand, there are 8 students from class who got straight A's (yeah, we counted). =) Hope that's a good sign. Plus those from arts stream should be about 10 people who got straight A's lo.
summary of my trial results :
BM - 82
Eng - 93
Maths - 99
Add Maths - 84
Physics - 88
Chemistry - 84
Biology - 86
Moral - 93
Sejarah - 90
Accounts - 90
EST - 92

You can tell i'm happy. =)

School also seems to be pretty hyped up about the writers who got shortlisted for the MPH essay. The notice asking students to vote is just about everywhere! Which is pretty good. =) Jas will have more chances of winning. Go jas!!! *waves pom poms* XD

The pc got a facelift! And some hardware transplants.
It's now windows vista. =) can do pretty neat stuff like a mac can.

Going to waste some more time online before hitting the bed..I mean books.
Toodles.

Vote!

No negative comments about the magazine so far. Or maybe just not when I’m around to hear them. Haha..

Why only got one autograph page ah?

This year got not enough money to print another autograph page issit?

Those were the only comments I’ve heard so far.
Got extra advert at the very last minute ma, so have to minus off the extra autograph page lo.

On to the next topic. Jas got short listed for this year’s MPH Search for Young Writer’s Essay Competition. Vote for her!!!! Go. Vote. Now. I mean NOW! Do it. Go here. (though it’s a bit mah fan. They need you to sign up) At the same time, you could vote for Sue Rene, Yam Su Lin and Wei Ling too. Wait, I think the girl Pei Sin is from our school too. Cool, our school boasts so many excellent writers. Aiseh. Bangga bangga. Wait, you only get 3 votes. Caca.t

The Unveiling

So. Magazines arrived, checked, packaged and distributed(yes, just like the Golgi apparatus). Turned out pretty good, if i dare say so myself. We were mentally prepared(sort of)! For there's bound to be criticism recieved.

Why all the same background wan...

Why so little colour only wan?

Yer...so ugly.

So boring la this year's magazine.

Haha.
Though we did eventually come across some minor mistakes while checking. Ah well, we've done the best we could. And boy, am i proud of it! We actually did it! =)

Ta-dah!

Checking was a breeze this year. Only about 1/20 of the magazines were faulty. Makes things so much easier. That and we ran away towards then end. AHAHAHA. So, we're officially retired ed boarders. I think.
The end of ed board journey. Finito. Fine. Tamat. Wohoooo!

Then came the autographing session. XD Like celebrities minus the paparazzi and the bling. Add maths teacher was talking about how preoccupied we were and how nobody is doing her add maths papers. Sorry!! It is our last year after all. We're collecting memories to be stored for years to come.

No doubt the autographing will continue for a few more days.

Oh, we got our chemistry paper 2. Wasn't that bad. Some careless mistakes and stuff. Most importantly, can get the final A1 i'm aiming for. As long as she gives me >18 marks for coursework. *begs*

Nap time is calling.

Update 2

Kimi clinched the driver's championship for the 2007 season(finally, after 2 years as runner-up). WOHOOOOO! That and Ferrari is also the winner of the constructor's championship. Double WOHOOOOO! It really goes to show that nothing is impossible. Congratulations Ferrari and Kimi!! Massa too. For his loyal support to the team. =)

Went to Lynn's house yesterday to see her new doggie, Don. He is the epitome of cuteness! So small sized and yet so inquisitive in nature. Hyperactive too. Not too sure if Cutey was a tad bit jealous. She sat poised on the couch with a rather regal air(typical cat fashion), looking at Lynn, her sister and me showering Don with attention. Eyes never flinching, except the moment when the curtains flapped in the wind. Will be going to visit Don again when he's grown a bit more. Probably after the much dreaded ESS PEE AMM.

*sigh*

Speaking of which, we've got all our results back cept Chemistry. So far so good. =) Hope Chemistry wil also turn out okay. A1 A1 A1! All the teachers gave us full marks for coursework. They understand how important it is for us. Moga-moga chemistry teacher will be considerate a bit and give us 20 coursework marks. Forecast results ok!! Ah well, the truth will be revealed tomorrow....

I shall not merungut about how big the gap is between my total and that of Denise/Jas/Mei/Ching Wen/Aimy. I am happy that i've gotten all A1s so far. =) A big thank you to the one who watches over everythign from above and who has been my guide.

Another thing to look forward to tomorrow is the school mag. Despite the fact that we have to check about say...700 copies, it doesn't dampen my excitement of actually seeing our hard work in print. Aimy's artwork will be on the cover! Just imgaine...your work printed on the cover of each and every copy. I'm feeling proud on her behalf. Dunno how she feels about it. XD I know i know, we've seen each page a gazillion times already. But still, our usaha ma.

All those hours slaving over it in the hot, stuffy AVA room (hah, i can freely say it here since i'm not allowed to mention it in the magazine. XD It really IS hot, stuffy and suffocating). Printing and reprinting. Checking and rechecking. Editing again and again. Being annoyed, pek chek, geram. Some kinda experience huh? Goes to show that we're never getting ourselves invovled in being part of the publishing industry anytime in the near future. Haha..

Hahahaha.

PS-deperately want to know the name of the singaporean movie with Allan Wu in it. It's been driving me and Denise locco the whole morning. Some help??

Must. Stop. Thinking. Of. Post SPM activities.

What i did THIS raya

I'm updating now, Jas. Spent the first 4 days of the raya break doing absolutely nothing...unless you count couch potato-ing, shopping with mom, and sleeping something. Oh wait, i went for driving lesson (found out that the instructor shares a similar date of birth as foo tong and i. So that makes 3 of us). So i did do something berfaedah afterall! Haha...

A paragraph will be dedicated to Lynn's dog, Junior, although it was only for a day...Was excited at the prospect of seeing her when Lynn told me. But later in the evening i found out they had to give Junior back cause she has a hole in her heart. I didn't know dogs can have that condition too. Sad thing is, there's no cure and Junior can't live for very long. Poor little thing.. I didn't even get to meet her. Sad sad. To be brought out into this world and then leave when you're just getting used to it. =(
But I know Lynn's looking forward to getting another dog. Cutey will have a playmate. Haha.

Had a resolution to start the intense studying today. HAD. Instead, went grocery shopping. It was weird. Had another near fainting experience like the one in the school hall a few years back. I dunno what happened...felt extremely weak suddenly. Couldn't breathe properly. Couldn't walk. Then i couldn't see properly. The lights were really bright. The coloured bits were blurry and spotted. It felt like everything had been photoshop-ed. All that coupled with a bad dose of cramps. I think mum was kinda shocked to see me so pale and weak. Anyway, all better now. =) Else i wouldn't be typing happily now.

Okay, end of update. I'll be studying tonight. I will!! (I hope)
Toodles.

Random bits and pieces

Latest update on trial results :

BM-82
Maths-99 (wheee! I love maths)
Add maths-84 (Could've done much better if not for panic attacks and careless mistakes)
English- 93
Sejarah-90
Accounts-90

Guess the week long raya holidays are meant for pia-ing. Hopefully that's what i'll be doing. Though it's kinda sad, pitiful and boring to study non-stop everyday.

The magazine really is coming on the 27th. Oh well, no skipping school that Saturday. To fellow schoolmates reading this, come to school!!!!! Unless you want to get it even later (considering 27th is already cukup late)....

Note to Ames: you've got a good quality red pen. The scribbles of 'blood red' and your portrayal of shit couldn't come off no matter how hard i scrubbed. XD

Absentism

Hmm..seems like quite some stuff happened in school in my absence. Haha.
Ah well, got around 83/84 for add maths. Joy joy. And 90 for accounts. To think that all (ok lo, not all) accounts takers from 5 Science started studying the day before. XD I think that's gonna be the case for SPM too...since there's a 3 day break in between bio and accounts. hahaha.

Sad thing i heard from Aimy is that the magazine comes on the 27th or somewhere there. That's like very very late. That leaves very very very little time and very very stressed form 5 ed boarders. No guesses as to teacher getting us involved in the checking. Haih.

Something about the girl who swallowed 28 panadols too. Not quite sure what happened...Will find out tomorrow. That and my seat became a therapy couch. XD

Another happy day

So, i did go out yesterday! Went for a movie with mom. It's another one of our mother-daughter things to do. Watched Hairspray. Was quite a nice show..The typical good prevails over bad kinda movie, with singing and dancing along the way. =) And of course when i'm with mommy, there's stuff to buy! Wheeee. Bought a book -Marley & Me- (which i've already finished..haha) then bought clothes too. Ah yes, turns out we had lunch at Kim Gary, which i was talking about on friday..

In the evening, went for dinner with some relatives at some chinese restaurant near Queensbay. Guess who i saw there? Pn Ng and her family. Nah, not our favourite maths and add maths teacher. The other Pn Ng. The one that teaches us EST. She couldn't recognise me at first, and i couldn't recognise her either. Hahaha...She looked different without her usual teacher-in-school clothes..There were no flowery dresses, no pretty ear rings(yeah..her ear rings are what captures attention, at least mine and Jas's) and no make up. Just a simple t-shirt. She sat directly behind our table, with husband, Shu Hui and all. XD After that, walked over to Queensbay for to burn off some energy from the enormous meal we had. Bought clothes again! Heh heh.

Got home at about 11, which means i spent almost half the day walking in malls. Was good fun. Stress reliever too.

See, told you retail therapy works. =)

Food.

Forgot to add, I wanna go KAI KAI. Watch movie! Buy something! (but then again, i'd probably be buying more revision books) Retail therapy is good. It makes one feel happy. Haha...

Oh, and eat nice food too. XD I miss Sake Sushi. They have more varieties compared to Sushi King, which is kinda cacat now. I love their salmon. Cheaper and again, more varieties. Also, I need to go try out the Subway Sandwich here. Last had it 3 or 4 years ago in Singapore. Quite ho chiak also. And then there's TGI Fridays that i've not tried. Oooh, i miss Haagen Dazs ice cream too. I think my friends are having that today. Probably now. In Queensbay. I Want! I love ice cream. =) The food at Chilis also quite nice. Very big portions but very filling. And it's been a while since i ate at Kim Gary. Hahahaha...Not saying that it's very nice, just that i used to eat at Kim Gary with mommy quite often. Hmm..Have not had pizza for quite some time also. Don't know what happened to our NIE pizza vouchers that we were supposed to receive.

Yes yes, i am tam chiak. So sue me. =P

Exams and stuff

I can get my A1 for add maths!!

YEAAAHHHH.

We got to know our marks but have not actually seen the paper. Now that my paper 2 is not below my estimation, i'm safe. Can't expect to achieve the high 90 something. But 80+ is better than nothing.

Wohoooooooo!

Plus, i got 90 for sejarah. Happiness. =)

I need to mention that everybody is studying again!! Including me. That's crazy la...I just told myself to get a break but what happens? I actually read bio today. TODAY. It's only been one day after trials. Not my fault ok! Everyone in class was doing revision. Even jas and aimy. Got so bored cause i had nothing to do. Actually finished highlighting and screening through bio chapter 5 and 6.
This is what you call peer pressure.
Haha.

That and we all miss Denise. Wonder if she went to Robinsons..

A short burst of freedom

Ahhhh..It feels SO SO EXTREMELY liberating to be rid of trials. The sad part is that in a few days time i'd have to start studying again just like everybody else. We have only a month plus left!
Trials was the most exhausting, tiring, brain juice draining two weeks i've ever experienced. Thank God it was only for 9 days. If it lasted any longer than that, i dunno if i can tahan (both physically and mentally). My daily routine during the entire trial season went like this :

Go to school -> Come home -> take short nap -> start studying -> studying gains momentum -> still at it till about 2am -> sleep -> go to school -> sit for exam

Didn't even go online or watched much tv throughout the whole ordeal. I know, i was very kuai. XD Had to exercise every ounce of self control to not go online, not watch tv and not go out. Seriously, haven't gone out for about a month liau! So chek ark..Like kena house arrest. Everyday terkurung di bilik dengan menghadap buku saja. Read books, eat books, sleep also think of books.

Really hope to get the string of A1's that i'm aiming for lo...I know i have the ability just like my friends do, it's only that i didn't have enough practice and stuff. Ok, it was more of my laziness and procrastination. Like add maths. Please please please let it be an A1. I'd be devastated if it's not. Considering both Jas and i actually got 99 for it last term. Haih...that's the akibat of concentrating too much on the other subjects and neglecting add maths.

I had a mental meltdown during paper 2. I know most of the class did too. Maybe Mr Sara felt the tension in the air and took pity on us poor, suffering souls. That's probably why he gave us some extra time to finalize our answers before collecting...Paper 2 was absolutely nerve wrecking. At the first glance, i couldn't answer almost half the questions in the paper. That was when my brain went into panic mode and it decided to throw the ability to think and count rationally out of the window. I definitely made a gazillion mistakes, which i should not have made if i had more time to check. Which i didn't. And the fact that i was so panicky. Which i shouldn't have been. HAIH....

At least paper 1 of add maths wasn't that bad. I was calmer, and more rational. STILL i made mistakes that i shouldn't have done. Eventhough i had enough time to check, i didn't realise my errors. sTILL very annoyed over the fact that i differentiated the equation wrongly albeit knowing how to solve the question. Grrrr...

On a happier note, a friend is going to Singapore at the end of the year! On the ASEAN schoolarship. I feel so proud to be friends with a soon to be ASEAN scholar. Someone whom i've known since kindy. =) Go Denise, the smart cookie!! Make sure you introduce us to a Floyd when you meet one. XD

Update more next time. Dinner now.

I'm baaack!

I'm back. I've been able to resist coming online for so long (actually, the main reason is cause i've been sick for the past Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Haha..) but i can't resist it anymore. There's much to do today! Need to check mails, check blog updates, update own blog(which i'm currently doing), check out Denise's pouty face picture, watch Jas's video. Fine, I have to study too.

Being sick makes me realise how much i love food. I've been on a constant diet of biscuits and bread for the past few days. Getting bored with that. I want my fried rice! The nice fragrant smell, big juicy prawns, spicy sambal.....Aaaaah. *drools* Looking at friends eating but being not able to eat what they eat is such torture. The nasi lemak, cokodok, tom yum bihun looked especially enticing today. And it's the puasa month now so there are less people to fight with for the cokodok and nasi lemak. I want my share of cokodok tomorrow! =)

I will also mention that my 3 friends abandoned me in school yesterday. Nobody messaged me to even ask if i was going to school. Evil friends. =P Especially Jas. You were always the one who would never skip school. Being nice and all, i thought you'd be all alone so i went to school to accompany you despite being sick. Smartly you chose not to go. Hpmh. (are you feeling the guilt now, Jas? XD) Good thing Kimmy and Yee Mei was there to keep me company.

Now, i'm running off to eat my porridge and get some studying done. Oh yes, shall i mention that i'm quite panicked now? There's so much to revise! And so little time. The one who is ahead (as always) of us in the studying department is Ames. She claims to have only flipped through the books but still manages to get correct for most of her answers. Smart people memang like that. =) Jas, Denise and i are at about the same pace (as usual). Lagging behind her. Heh heh.

Alright alright, i'll eat my porridge now.

Part 1 of Speech Day

I is happy! Ames sent photos. Wheeeeee. Though it's mostly photos taken towards the end of the day. The earlier shots are in another camera...Ah well, I guess these photos will make do for now. Anyway, enjoy the pictures! =)

ps-we have too many cameras but so little skill.

The prize winners, Ames and Mei

Feeding time...

Ames doing the gaya look. XD
(I have one too!! Just not here yet..XD)

Jas, Karyn and Ames doing their thing. Haha..

Just read the board.

The board says it all...

I mean..there were 4 people with 3 cameras.
And nobody knew what to do. XD

The emotionless duo. XD

Then we had inspiration!
There, you go...A gang of prefects, obviously retired.

Hmm....

Uh oh...

Whoops

Another one for the camera.

And that ends the day. =)

More to come...some time later.
By the way, this took me long enough. Need to get a photobucket account or something...
Oh yes, thanks for fixing the tag board, Ames!
Off to Sejarah for now. Cheers. =)

A Car.

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH.
NICE CAR. CLS 350. Ames introduced me to it.
*lau nuah* XD
