Food for Thought

Came across this on Lynn's blog who came across it on Yench's.

Your view on yourself:
You are intelligent, honest and sweet. You are friendly to everybody and don't like conflict. Because you're so cheerful and fun people are naturally attracted to you and like to talk to you.

I am not particularly fond of conflicts. Yes. =)

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.

Attractiveness doesn't really strike my fancy. Don't you think a person's character is that much more important? And besides, eye candies are usually for movies and tv dramas. =P

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love:
Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.

I have plenty of dates. *guffaws*
Yeah, probably with the Calculus, Physics, Chemistry and Micro Econs textbooks.

Your views on education:
Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

Quite true..I can be very frenzied and flustered when exams roll around. I take my exams very seriously. I don't like loosing marks unnecessarily, if you must know. =P

The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:
You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.

What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.

This is a tad bit freaky. I am rather uncomfortable not knowing the outcomes to things..Like how i don't know if i'll be leaving this August as a freshman or next August as a transfer student. Or if we'd be this close despite the distance. Plenty of What-Ifs have placed themselves on my mind before. Though i'm learning not to worry and dwell on things that are determined by the one up there. Instead, i'm learning to really enjoy and appreciate moments in the now.

But i don't think i use anger to cover up my feelings. Or do i?
Hmm...

Who is your true self:

You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.

Hey! Who says i am never calm or still for long.
I am!
I think all girls generally have mood swings so you'll have to excuse that a bit. =P

So.
What do you all think?

A little bit of this and that

A wider smile,
An extra skip in my step,
A higher dose of craziness,
A louder laugh,
A few additional scoops of rice and dishes. XD

AHHHHHHH. I believe it's always good to be home.
No matter how near or far away you have been. (Nilai is far ok. And US is very x 1000000 far)
Home is where the heart is. =)

Plus, now i can say "uncle, ho wa chi ua keh pui cham sio bak".
No more "uncle, kei wo chi fan, chan sau rou".
It takes a little bit more processing to speak in Mandarin. Haha.
Cause i'm not very good at it.

Call me crazy but everytime the plane touches down at the Penang Airport, i feel like singing. =DD Yes, i am THAT happy. Hahaha. Though i have never actually sang out loud..=P Maybe the next time i'm home.

The bak kua at home is teh AWESOMMEEEE. Chewy and tender. Not too tough or dry. Sticky black sauce (which you can lick off your finger later). Big piece of meat.
Put it all together and BAM! *smacks lips*
Fantastic-o!
Currently considering bringing it back to Nilai. Heee.

I realize that every time i sweep/mop the floor at home, i get paid.
My wage today was 30 cents.
=P
The nooks and crannies of my house are where my wages come from.
I suppose i must be more hardworking at cleaning out the corners and under the furniture. Then perhaps i can earn more? Hahhaha.

Today, i came home to see 3 packets from various senders addressed to me.
1. Disted College
Will someone please tell me why did Disted send me a big stack of MPW course structures????
O.o Maybe they thought i needed paper to fold paper planes with. Or paper cranes. Or CNY deco...

2. JPA
One part of the perjanjian was sent back to me for keeping.

3. CMU
Very relieved to see something from one of the US unis. Was pretty terrified that i wasted my parents' RM 250 to send the application materials which might have or might not have reached US. I tell you, the Pos Laju tracking thing is ...blahh. They NEVER update the status of your sent documents so you have no clue where it is. -.- and i'm not sure to what degree you should trust when they say "your documents will reach US in about 3-5 working days".

Back to CMU. They sent a letter confirming receipt of documents, feedback form, an Undergrad Catalog CD and some other sheets of paper.

All in all, we shall see what happens in March. When the application results are out. Lalalaaa.

I shall now go and decide what to wear on the first day of CNY.
*hums*

Boss's Special Day

Dear Boss,

HAPPEEEEE BURFDAYY!!!!

As you can see from the above,
The Boss rarely shows her pretty face in photos. =P

The reason Aimy (or "ai mee" as Jas would say) is called Boss goes back to the pre-SPM library study session days. Hahahaha. Go ask her. =D

ps - You can still drive me around k? Since i don't drive. Heeeeee.

Barren

5 days to CNY atmosphere!
Ululand is barren. No tongtongchiang feeling.
Doesn't feel like CNY at all.
The minimal CNY decorations don't even come close.

Though the residents of Shakespeare block are trying to liven things up a little. ;)

Pictures of JyoLyn's room door deco. Yes, she draws. =)
My room door has ang pous + shiny red paper fans + a red calendar (with the CNY dates highlighted!) HAHA.
I'd like to show you a picture of my room door but no camera = no pictures.

Moving on.
Please go have a look!
Especially you Penangites.
Penang is on the list of 44 places to visit in 2009, compiled by the New York Times.

Seeeeeee. Penang rawks.
Pooh to you Selangor people who think Penang is boring. *coughteejinkokkeongcough*
I don't see Selangor being on the list.

Hahaha.

Chicken drumstick

Hmmm.
I wonder if i'm trying to bite off more than i can chew.
Even with the combo of heavy subjects, i just agreed to be part of the JPA 08 magazine production team.
Under the 'Compilation' team..which i guess is the layout section.
Hahaa.

Sure, it might prove to be a bit more work than usual but i signed up for it cause i kinda miss doing this publication thing. And wasting my semesters away with just academics to clog my brain cells is not what i want out of my time here.

I hope the magazine would turn out nicely. =)
Cause currently, there are quite a lot of 'cooks' with only one 'broth'.
*hopes for the best*

Epiphany!

I just realized that Mr. Econs Lecturer is right about economics being used in every aspect of life. The Law of Diminishing Returns is at work right now with what i'm doing. I'm putting a lot of additional input(multiple firefox tab browsers, msn conversations, econs reading, sms as opposed to just econs reading) but my increase in ouput is far far less than if i were to do everything one at a time.
LOL.

The Law of Diminshing Returns : an additional increase in input factors will cause a less than proportionate increase in total ouput, given a fixed level of technology.
Eg : the more workers there are working at creating a product, the lower will the number of goods be produced as opposed to having only one worker working on it.
One worker = no yakking partner = focused on task at hand
But more workers = more yak-time instead of work time.
Hence more workers = reduced number of goods created

So (in a way),
Singular task = job done immediately
Increase in things at hand = more time has to be divided between all
Hence, multi-tasking = decrease in rate of fulfilment of tasks

XD i think this means multi-tasking is bad for me. Heheh.
Or maybe i happen to like this law cause it makes sense.
Unlike psycho which only has theories which can never be completely proven. -.-

I guess this means i will like Econs quite a bit. =)

Lalalaaaaa.

Gallivanting

Three girls (Crystal, Beng Yen, Karyn) felt adventurous yesterday and ventured into the heart of the jungle Seremban. We felt like we needed some pick-me-ups after a round of Calculus that left us all feeling O.o???? (haha..soon, emoticons shall rule the world!). Somehow the first Cal 2 class was a big blurr of dy/dx, f prime, f inverse, ln x and stuff. Mr. Lecturer's style is getting me a bit worried here...way way too early for my own good.

Anyway, back to the afternoon in Seremban.
We walked around two malls : Seremban Parade and Terminal 1 cause it was the only places we knew how to get to. And had Prosperity burgers washed down with curly fries. Lol.

Terminal 1 was like a handphone haven, especially for Digi users. Handphone shops were everywhere! Left, right, and center. I wonder how customers chose which shop to patronize. Then there was a GSC which looked like it was from our parent's time. =P
We walked and walked and walked...and made a stop at the arcade for one game of Daytona. I tried the racing game for the first time here when there's plenty of Daytonas in the Gurney arcade back home. How ironic.
But it was fun! =DD
Now i know where to practice my driving. Heee.

All in all, it felt good to be around somplace with resemblance to city life. Seeing cars and buildings around us intead of green plants. =) plus, we made good use of our first (rather free) week before the cycle of tests and assignments start again. Now no one can say that we've never ventured out of INTI's surrounding grounds!

They're Backkkk!

Discovery number 1:
The HTU's are back to rule the common bathroom. (HTU definition)
Sigh. First attack of the year.
I knew they'd be back but not this soon. It's barely a week into the semester!
Both Michelle and me discovered their unmistakable insignia just yesterday afternoon. Like little stamps of approval for the toilets. -.-

I saw little very visible brown blobs happily floating in the toilet bowl. And roomie saw pieces of unflushed toilet paper. Blehhh. Girls can be gross. And to think we are supposedly better at being clean as opposed to guys.

It's only a matter of time before the next attack...

Moving on to the next discovery of the new INTI:
The pan mee stall (from the middle coffee shop) changed owners. No more nice pan mee. =( This one is a bit too salty for my liking. It shall go on to the Food-That-Are-Too-Salty-For-Your-Own-Good List.
Come to think of it, the hawker stalls around and in the INTI campus seem to have a penchant for salt. =P

KAOS

Many were already gathered before the wooden doors but alas, it was not yet time to enter. We were inches from each other, smelling each others' aroma and jostling for the best spot. (okay, it was not THAT close..=p)

And so, when the clock struck 9, the magic doors opened. Bodies hurtled at alarming speeds to their respective counters. Then the massively-never-ending-nor-moving lines formed. Each wanted to chose the best timetable and subjects. Empty seats in the respective classes quickly filled up. Some got their ideal schedule and some had to settle for something less.
Subjects that came up in red on the computer screen were greatly feared. For red indicated classes that were already filled to the brim.

Many were there from 9am up till 4 pm cause the number of students greatly outnumbered the AUP staff.
The 2008 JPA students + 2007 JPA students + other non-JPA continuing students = a whole lot of waiting & dissatisfaction.

Anyway, the subjects i got for this sem :
Calculus 2
General Physics 1
General Chemistry 1
Introduction to Microeconomics.

Wheeeeeee! =)

Last Night

Going back to Ulu Land tomorrow.
In a way, i'm quite excited to see my fellow inhabitants of Ulu Land. =)
Though there's much cleaning to be done. Who knows what happened to our rooms in the two months away. *shudders*

And there's the add/drop process to attend to.
Hoping for slots Calculus and Physics!

Oh and the Ulu Land food.
Back to pan mee and special chicken rice (which is so NOT special).
Heeee. Though food on sundays are nicer. Agreed, Crystal? ;)

And i finally have a picture to show my art skillz (or lack thereof).
Lookz!
Teh mini mini mini clay thingamajiggies!
I like the 'John' stick. Hahaha.
=P

oK, gtgbai.
Hello INTI!!
